The first warm day in May, and it's finally time
to open up the boat house. Now where'd I leave
the tackle? Ah, the rush of cedar and salt, a
little of last summer’s sand still clinging to
the cushions. Our meticulously tailored cabinet
brings to mind long afternoons at the lake and
crisp mornings with hot tea on the patio. Its
handsome handles echo the hinges of the other
Mystic River pieces. Two interior shelves are
constructed from one-inch solid cedar and will
not warp; one comes with a considerate cut-out
and ice tub. Adjustable shelving allows for infinite
entertaining and storage possibilities. Hardly
rustic, you won't be putting this one of a kind
beauty on the side of the garage. A bit indulgent?
Oh, yes. And thank goodness.
